AURORA, COLO. — The Dog Gurus announced Dec. 4 it will host The Dog Gurus Business Breakthrough Workshop from April 9 to 11, 2024, in Aurora. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center.

The event will provide valuable knowledge and insights to pet care industry professionals as they cope with continued economic uncertainty and labor challenges. The Dog Gurus aims to support pet care entrepreneurs and businesses navigate the evolving industry.

Amber Burckhalter will serve as the keynote speaker for the event with her presentation, “Nurturing Success: The Power of Positive Reinforcement in Workplace Culture.” Burckhalter has more than 25 years of pet care, business ownership and strategic development experience, according to The Dog Gurus, making her a sought-after speaker and consultant in the pet care space.

The event will also allow for two 30-minute workshops, through which attendees will be able to apply the skills and knowledge learned throughout the conference. Breakout topics will include membership programs, senior dog care, upselling and front desk scripts, creating space for enrichment, and retail success, among others.
