SEATTLE — Craft soda company Jones Soda Co. introduced a line of beverages for dogs on Nov. 22. The Jones Soda Craft Dog Soda line was developed in collaboration with veterinarians and dog parents with natural, human-grade and functional ingredients to serve as a treat, meal topper or boost of hydration for dogs.

The initial line includes three flavors — Chicken Stock, Beef Stock, and Turkey and Gravy — and will launch first on Chewy and the company’s website. Jones Soda plans to roll the dog sodas out to additional retailers in 2024.

Functional ingredients in the line include human-grade glucosamine and chondroitin to support joint health and maintenance, according to Jones Soda. Meat and poultry stocks used in the formulas are also human grade. Jones Soda Craft Dog Sodas are uncarbonated and free from sodium or sweeteners.

“Looking at the millions of photos our fans have submitted to us over the years, it’s easy to see how much Jones fans love their pets,” said Eric Chastain, president and chief operating officer of the Jones Soda Co.’s Beverage Division. “Knowing how much our pets mean to us, a lightbulb went off when we brought back Turkey and Gravy, our fan-favorite seasonal flavor. And we couldn't think of a better place to launch than Chewy, a trusted destination for pet parents and partners everywhere, who shares our sentiment that pets aren’t just pets, they’re more.”

In line with its original soda line for people, Jones Soda will gather consumer-submitted pet photos, as well as photos of adoptable dogs, and place them on future bottlings of its Craft Dog Soda. Consumers are also encouraged to save their Jones bottlecaps to redeem for dog-themed prizes through its Caps for Gear loyalty program.

Jones Soda Craft Dog Soda is available through Chewy and the Jones Soda website.
