OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — On Nov. 14, ZIWI USA announced it has been accredited by the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) for its environmental efforts.
“We are thrilled to achieve accreditation from PSC,” said Jessica Krueger, senior marketing manager at ZIWI USA. “Over the past couple of years, we have made strides within the organization with first joining, then becoming ICON members, and becoming signatories of the Packaging Pledge.
“The mission and vision that PSC embodies and lives out every day greatly aligns with ZIWI’s ethos,” she added. “As an ethically and sustainably sourced New Zealand brand, we have been continuously in the pursuit of forging forward as sustainably as possible: from our kitchens to our suppliers, within our offices and in between. This is another step towards our ever-evolving progress of leaving our planet a better place for people and their pets.”
Since its inception, PSC has grown to now serve over 200 companies, helping the pet industry advance its sustainability efforts.
“In order to achieve the Pet Sustainability Accreditation, ZIWI completed a thorough assessment of its business operations and passed a rigorous third-party verification process,” said Hannah Tirrell-Wysocki, accreditation manager for the PSC. “Companies Accredited through the program demonstrate year over year improvement and are committed to business practices that are better for the world around us.”
