SUGAR LAND, TEXAS — The API Group, Inc. and Accredo Packaging announced Sept. 27 the appointment of Treijon “Trei” Johnson to director of sustainability. In his new position, Johnson will help strengthen Accredo Packaging’s sustainability efforts.
Johnson will leverage his previous experiences as a packaging engineer at Mars Wrigley and supply chain analyst at Unilever Global in his new role. Additionally, Johnson will also drive sustainability for the API Group’s Advanced Polybag company.
“I’m confident Trei will be instrumental in delivering unmatched value to the communities in which we operate, supply chain partners, and, importantly, our customers while advancing towards aggressive sustainability targets,” said Jonathan Quinn, vice president of marketing and sustainability for the API Group. “We believe his fresh perspectives and proven expertise will be critical in expanding and maintaining our foundational culture of sustainability.”
Accredo Packaging’s sustainability efforts include developing eco-friendly packaging solutions for the food and consumer products industries. According to the company, the facility is wind-powered and is North America’s first and only flexible packaging manufacturing facility with LEED® Silver certification.
