WINSTED, MINN. — Parker Freeze Dry, a division of ProForm Fabrication, announced it will showcase its industrial-sized, commercial-grade, turnkey freeze dry system, Summit, at Process Expo from Oct. 23 to 25 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The equipment will be a part of the live pet treat production line during the three-day show.
Live pet treat production demonstrations will occur three times per day over the course of the tradeshow, during which a host will guide spectators through the process as it happens in front of them. The line will feature beef dog treat manufacturing, packaging and palletizing. In addition, a Meat Production bacon demo and Bakery Production empanada demo will also be featured as a part of the Process Expo production lines.
The Summit freeze dry system can freeze dry up to 97.5 lbs. of wet weight per batch cycle, according to the company. Because of its interchangeable cartridges equipped with either 9, 12 or 15 trays, the machine is customizable to varying product requirements. The Summit requires 230V, 60-amp, single-phase power, which turns equipment installation into a “plug-and-play operation,” according to Parker Freeze Dry.
“The Parker brand was invited to be a part of the pet treat production line [at Process Expo] due to its quality and superior capabilities,” said Matt Graunke, sales manager. “We are excited to run the Summit at the show not only because it is a great opportunity to showcase it to those in the pet food industry, but for all dehydration industries to begin to envision the possibilities after seeing the unit in action.”
Parker Freeze Dry will also showcase its Summit freeze dryer at booth 3416 during Process Expo.
