SARASOTA, FLA. — Encompass Pet Group announced plans to transform its Choice Pet Products business to a logistics arm focused on supporting its consumer-focused businesses.

“This transformation will allow us to focus our energy, our capital and our logistics expertise across our core consumer pet products, new products and recent acquisitions to accelerate our growth,” said Troy Shay, chief executive officer of Encompass.

Choice Pet Products currently serves as a distributor to the independent pet retail channel and will continue to serve retailers through the end of October. After the transformation, Choice Pet Products will support Encompass’ divisions, including its Snuggle Puppy line of calming toys and its DOGPerfect retail locations.

“It has been a privilege to serve independent retailers over the last several years and we support their mission to help pet parents raise healthy pets,” said Rob Emery, founder of Encompass. “We will continue to be independent retailers ourselves via our DOGPerfect stores within greater Sarasota.”
