MIAMI — Pet service and retail franchise Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming announced Aug. 1 it has signed three agreements to open five new stores in Phoenix, Boise, Idaho, and Seattle. The expansion into these major US cities “marks another quarter of surging expansion for the brand,” the company stated.
Two new stores will open in Peoria and Surprise, Ariz., both suburbs of Phoenix, as well as two new stores in Eagle and Meridian, Idaho, just outside of Boise. Additionally, Woof Gang will open its first and only store in the state of Washington, located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. All five stores are expected to open in the summer of 2024.
“To enter three major states such as Arizona, Idaho and Washington in such a short span of time is truly a testament to the power of our brand and our leading position in a thriving and dynamic industry,” said Ricardo Azevedo, chief executive officer of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. “We are thrilled to bring personalized, high-quality grooming services and products to pet parents and to expand into lively, vibrant and growing cities. This growth enables us to extend our passion of spreading love and joy to pet communities all around the nation.”
So far in 2023, Woof Gang has added seven new stores across the state of Georgia and made its entrance into the California and Illinois pet retail scenes. The franchise also made its first foray into the Canadian pet retail market earlier this year with its Greater Toronto store, which also represented its first international location.
