SOMERSET, NJ. — Gericke USA, a processing equipment manufacturer, unveiled its latest innovation: Feedos® S-H/P CIP, a bulk clean-in-place (CIP) feeder. The system can be used in food, dairy, nutrition, pharmaceutical, pet food and other industries.

The Feedos S-H/P CIP equipment meters and doses a range of flow-resistant and free-flowing materials, including powders, granules, flakes and other dry, bulk materials. Designed with automation and high accuracy top of mind, the new feeder consists of a series of spray nozzles within a hopper and downspout to help remove material from the inside and ensure equipment sanitation. The feeder also includes a novel sealing design, replacing stuffing boxes with Gericke’s proprietary lip seals to prevent leakage.

Made of stainless steel, the feeder can incorporate a wide variety of detergents, disinfectants of chemical cleaners, as well as hot water and steam.

Gericke’s new equipment expands its line of Feedos S feeders, which also offers processors standard, hygienic and other models to meet a variety of processing needs. The company is currently offering testing of its new feeder at its test laboratory in New Jersey.
