ORLANDO, FLA. — Tompkins Robotics, a company focused on the automation of distribution and fulfillment operations by leveraging robotics, has named Tony Villanova vice president of PickPal Solutions, one of Tompkins Robotics’ solutions.

Prior to joining Tompkins Robotics, Villanova worked for 6 River Systems, designing autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) systems. He has more than 20 years of experience in supply chain, operations management and finance spanning various sectors, including retail, third-party logistics (3PL) and industrial.

Tompkins Robotics’ PickPal Solutions offers systems designed to carry heavy fulfillment orders. The line uses core design elements, providing adaptive, flexible and scalable automotive solutions. According to Tompkins Robotics, the systems are easy to implement, feature low operating costs, and are compatible with a range of existing fulfillment operations. The PickPal Solutions line includes two models, one with a capacity of up to 220 lbs and another with a capacity of up to 400 lbs.

In his new role, Villanova will lead the development of Tompkins Robotics’ PickPal Solutions to support the company’s growth within AMR systems. He will also support the company’s tSort systems, a unit and parcel storage solution.

Villanova has a master’s degree in business administration from Salisbury University, Maryland, and a bachelor's degree in corporate finance from West Virginia University.
