BERKELEY, CALIF. — On June 13, Wild Earth announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Zeigler’s Distributor, Inc. Under the agreement, Zeigler’s will carry Wild Earth’s plant-based dog food and treats to independent and specialty retailers throughout the mid-Atlantic.
Based in Lebanon, Pa., Zeigler’s serves as a wholesale distributor, servicing retailers throughout Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and New York. The company has experience in distributing various pet foods and supplies, from frozen raw formulas to kibbles, treats and toys.
“We are excited to partner with a leading distributor like Zeigler’s,” said Ryan Bethencourt, chief executive officer of Wild Earth. “Zeigler’s will give Wild Earth the ability to deliver our healthier plant-based treats and foods to hundreds of retailers across the Mid-Atlantic region.”
With a focus on sustainability and cruelty free, Wild Earth offers plant-based dog foods and treats. The company’s baked treats are formulated with superfoods and koji. During Global Pet Expo 2023, the company debuted its plant-based, complete-and-balanced formulas: Performance Formula for active dogs and Core Formula for less active dogs.
Zeigler’s will distribute Wild Earth’s entire product line, which includes 11 SKUs. According to the plant-based dog nutrition company, the partnership offers both Wild Earth and Zeigler’s significant growth potential and will allow Wild Earth to increase its reach and footprint in the mid-Atlantic.
“Plant-based pet foods is a growing trend,” said Brian Ziegler, owner of Zeigler’s Distributor. “Carrying Wild Earth helps us meet the growing need for retailers and consumers looking for plant-based protein alternatives for food and treats.”
