ST. CHARLES, MINN. — Bellboy Import Corporation, an international meat ingredient broker, announced it hired Sarah Whitley as global director of animal proteins. Bellboy Import, which was established in 1984 and purchased by Stephen Trachtenberg, owner and president of pet treat manufacturer Chasing Our Tails in 2019, transports and supplies meat ingredients for pet food, human food, pharma and baby food.

“We are delighted to add Sarah Whitley to our team,” Trachtenberg said. “Whitley’s animal agricultural background combined with her animal protein feeds marketing to the pet food market experience make her a perfect fit to drive Bellboy’s business.” 

Whitley brings a passion for agriculture to her new position at Bellboy Import. After almost eight years teaching high school agriculture science, Whitley went to work for Sonac, a division of Darling Ingredients, eventually becoming pet food market manager, managing the company’s animal protein and pet food ingredients portfolio. She also brings to her new role experience as a senior co-manufacturing manager with Del Monte Foods and sales and account leader with Link One Ingredient Solutions. 

Whitley earned her bachelor of science in agricultural education degree from South Dakota State University.

Bellboy import services its market sectors with sourcing, warehousing and inventory solutions, import/export execution, transportation, custom ingredients and the procurement of exotic meats. It also has raw ingredient manufacturing capabilities from emulsification, mechanical separation and blending.
