TUMWATER, WASH. — Pet treat company We Are NDependent has formed a distribution partnership with Southeast Pet, expanding its presence throughout Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.

Founded in 2021 by industry veterans Jeff Sandy, Rob Mellem and Rusty Hawes, We Are NDependent strives to create unique pet nutrition products specifically for the independent pet channel. The company’s products include limited-ingredient, dry offal treats for both dogs and cats. We Are NDependent uses unique ingredients, like tripe and sea kelp.

“Our team is proud of our experience and having a long standing, dedicated and positive history with Southeast Pet and the region of retailers that they serve,” said Rusty Hawes, co-owner of We Are NDependent. “We are stoked to be working with their talented team to bring our message and everyday uncommon products to their independent retail partners throughout the Southeast region.”

Southeast Pet exclusively distributes products throughout the independent pet retail channel.

Alongside its distribution expansion, We Are NDependent also announced that it will be exhibiting at Booth #109 at Global Pet Expo 2023 in Orlando, Fla., from March 22 to 24.
