MIAMI — Pet franchise Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming detailed its plans to accelerate its growth this year. The franchise has more than 55 retail locations currently in development for this year, doubling the number of new stores for the second consecutive year.
In 2022, the pet retailer opened 25 new stores, doubling its store growth from previous years. During the past nine months, the retailer has developed a “best-in-class” onboarding process that includes a training center, learning hub and revitalized digital ecosystem to better support its store network, personnel and customers.
For 2023, the franchise recently signed its first agreements in California and Indiana, and also expanded internationally, marking its first franchise in Canada. The company also ranked in Entrepreneur’s 2023 Top 500 Franchise list for its growth and financial strength.
“Our rapid success over the last year is a true testament to the communities we reside in, our franchise partners and our passion to create the world’s largest network of neighborhood pet stores,” said Ricardo Azevedo, chief executive officer of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. “With our unique customer service, new technologies and processes in place, Woof Gang has a clear roadmap to becoming the first global pet service franchise brand and we look forward to taking the brand to new heights with more excitement to come this year.”
As pet ownership continues to increase and the pet industry expands, Woof Gang is aiming to position itself as the neighborhood pet store in local communities throughout the nation and other countries.
