HOLZMINDEN, GERMANY — Symrise AG expanded its executive board at the beginning of February, appointing two new personnel and detailing new responsibilities.
The company has hired Stephanie Cossmann, Ph.D., to take over executive responsibilities for the company’s Human Resources and Legal group. Before joining Symrise, Cossmann worked at Lanxess AG, serving as head of human resources and a member of its executive board. She was responsible for Lanxess’s legal and compliance divisions, as well as its Leather business unit.
“We are very excited to have such an experienced manager as Stephanie Cossmann joining us,” said Michael König, chairman of the Supervisory Board at Symrise. “Her wide-ranging leadership experience and strategic vision will be incredibly valuable for the future development of the group.”
Jörn Andreas, Ph.D., is taking over Symrise’s Scent & Care segment. Andreas previously led Symrise’s Cosmetic Ingredients division.
“And we are just as pleased that we could name Jörn Andreas, an internationally experienced leader from our own ranks, as head of the Scent and Care segment,” König said.
Including Cossmann and Andreas, Symrise’s executive board now includes five members:
- Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, Ph.D., chief executive officer of Symrise
- Olaf Klinger, chief financial officer, responsible for the company’s global IT operations, as well as finance and investor relations
- Jean-Yves Parisot, head of the company’s Taste, Nutrition and Health segment, as well as its Food & Beverage and Pet Food units and its Business Incubation Group.
“By expanding the executive board, we are sending an important signal for the further growth course of Symrise,” König said.
