WASHINGTON — Pet Food Institute (PFI) announced the appointment of Dana Waters to policy analyst on Oct. 12. Waters will work the with PFI’s policy team, tracking federal and state legislative issues and international trade.

Prior to joining PFI, Waters served as government relations intern for GP3 Partners, a public relations agency, and worked with the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) tracking legislation and aiding in MITA’s advocation efforts.

“We are excited to offer Dana Waters a full-time position at PFI,” said Dana Brooks, chief executive officer of PFI. “She was a very impressive 2022 summer intern and is well deserving of this opportunity.”

At PFI, Waters will assist the institute’s senior director of business operations and programs and report directly to Brooks.
