EAGAN, MINN. — SOMIC Packaging has hired a new western regional sales manager, Stacy Schmeiser. With 30 years of industry experience, Schmeiser will report to Peter Fox, chief executive officer of SOMIC Packaging.
Prior to SOMIC, Schmeiser worked for the Packaging Group at Menasha Corporation, Videojet Technologies, Linx Technologies, Domino Amject, Inc., Hartness International and Schneider Packaging Equipment Co. He has extensive experience in sales and a packaging engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
“My background in the capital equipment industry has been in selling various value-added technologies related to packaging production lines,” Schmeiser said. “This broad experience helps me identify and qualify projects with quality organizations, and also allows me to be a more valued consultative asset to my customer base.”
Most recently, Schmeiser lead western regional sales at Syntegon, formerly BOSCH/Kliklok Woodman. In this role he sold high-speed secondary and tertiary cartoners, formers, closers, case packers and other equipment.
“I was looking for a dynamic company with superior technology and a strong reputation in the marketplace,” Schmeiser explained. “After meeting with Peter Fox and the team in Minnesota and learning more about what they have to offer customers, I was convinced SOMIC was my future. My immediate goals are to develop a strong pipeline of projects and gain market share with some strategic wins.”
