SUNDERLAND, MD. — Brutus Broth launched its new dog food toppers, one of which is plant-based. The new “Un” Bone Broth and new Pork Bone Broth offer functional benefits and are non-GMO and free from dairy, soy and gluten.
Both new human-grade toppers boast high amounts of nutrients, minerals and amino acids to support a dog’s digestive and immune systems while also helping with various health concerns.
The Brutus “Un” Bone Broth Skin and Coat formula targets skin and coat health and contains only plant-based ingredients. The vegan topper is formulated with Omegas 3, 6 and 9 to promote skin and coat health, and mushrooms.
“More and more dog owners are treating their pet’s diets like their own and looking to work healthier and more environmentally sustainable options into their daily diets,” said Sue Delegan, chief executive officer of Brutus Broth. “Our new “Un” Bone Broth is protein packed and one of the few products on the market that incorporates all omegas for skin and coat health.”
Brutus Pork Bone Broth Hip and Joint Formula supports a dog’s joints and is made with hypoallergenic protein for dogs with food sensitivities. The topper is formulated with turmeric, glucosamine and chondroitin to help dogs fight inflammation and aid in hip and joint health.
“So many dogs are allergic to mainstream proteins like chicken,” said Kim Hehir, president of Brutus Broth. “Pork is an excellent alternative and novel protein source that appeals to a broader audience. So far, our initial beta-tests have far exceeded our expectations in terms of positive customer feedback. The dogs love it and the humans who have all tasted it say it's their favorite flavor yet.”
The new bone broth toppers follow significant distribution growth for Brutus Broth with products available in more than 5,000 major retailers, grocery chains and boutiques throughout the United States. The toppers are available at Petco, Wegmans, Amazon and Chewy.
“It’s been amazing to be part of the booming pet industry, and we are so proud of the new products launched and excited to bring them to our valued retail partners,” Delegan said.
