SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — TOMRA Food has released the details of its Pet Food Demo Week event, which will showcase a variety of the company’s equipment solutions for pet food processors from June 6 to 10 in Sacramento. The demo will focus on equipment used to inspect kibble pet foods and ingredients.

Scott Knowlton, North America sales manager at TOMRA Sorting Solutions’ pet food and rendering division, will lead the demonstrations. Knowlton has 25 years of experience in protein applications throughout North America with a focus on advanced optical sorting technology and pet food rendering.  

During the demonstrations, Knowlton will discuss how manufacturers can achieve strong operational efficiency while overcoming many challenges to ensure product quality, using TOMRA Food’s equipment solutions.

The demonstrations will showcase the TOMRA 5B, an optical sorting system, the TOMRA 5C, a foreign material detection system, and the Nimbus, a free-fall sorting machine. TOMRA’s equipment can also measure moisture levels.
