SOMERSET, NJ. — Gericke USA recently shared details of its GFT Sleeve line, a range of flexible fittings designed to provide lightweight, durable connections between weighing equipment without adding significant weight or pressure to load cells.

The sleeves are thin and manufactured from food-grade vinyl methyl silicone to promote accuracy in feeding, mixing, pneumatic conveying and other processes that demand highly accurate weight data.

The hygienic sleeves are ideal for sanitary processes such as food, pet food, pharmaceutical, chemical and others. The solution can replace clamps and other polyester or textile sleeves, which can end up trapping materials along the process. The translucent design is secured between two mounting rings, forming waterproof and air-tight connections from machine to machine. They are US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliant and free from Phthalate and Bisphenol A (BPA).

Gericke’s GFT Sleeve lines are available in five sizes, ranging from DN 65 to DN 200 mm, or roughly 2.5 inches to 8 inches. They are designed for easy disassembly for efficient cleaning.
