OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — ZIWI, a global, air-dried pet food manufacturer, announced an expansion of its ZIWI USA, Inc., segment with eight new personnel appointments. The appointments follow the company’s rapid growth in the North American pet food space.
Mindy Price joined the company as operations manager. Prior to ZIWI, Price spent 20 years working in the fashion industry and has experience in distribution, logistics and product development. She has a bachelor’s degree in apparel and textile marketing from Kansas State University.
Kathi Nichols joined ZIWI as key account manager and will help the company strengthen its partnerships with brick-and-mortar retailers. Prior to ZIWI, Nichols served as director of development at a humane society, as well as a manufacturer representative and key account manager. Nichols has a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Ambrose University.
Sydni Weis joined the company as e-commerce administrator, managing ZIWI’s brand integrity and MAP throughout its online sales platforms. Prior to ZIWI, Weis worked in the healthcare industry, specializing in IT. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and event management from the University of Central Missouri.
Abby Horsman joined ZIWI as marketing specialist for social media, in which she is responsible for restructuring the company’s influencer programs and providing retailers with social media guidance and assets. Horsman has experience in marketing within the technology, construction and e-commerce industries. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Iowa State University.
Brendan Allen joined the company as project and compliance manager. With five years of experience in project, regulation and compliance management, Allen is responsible for directing ZIWI’s projects and licensures. He received a bachelor’s degree in sociology and minor conflict management from Baker University.
Jessica Krueger joined ZIWI as marketing manager to aid in the company’s strategy and execution spanning all channels and platforms. Prior to ZIWI, Krueger worked in the automotive industry in Hawaii, where she received her bachelor’s degree.
Johlea Gewhas joined the company as in-house graphic designer. With five years of freelance experience in the development of advertising and branding assets, Gewhas is responsible for creating the company’s print and display ads as well as any social media assets. Gewhas received her associate’s degree in graphic design and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
Courtney Kuehn joined ZIWI as e-commerce specialist. She will aid the company in improving its online sales experience. Kuehn received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Missouri State University.
Headquartered in New Zealand, ZIWI manufactures aid-dried pet food, treats and toppers. The company’s Peak air-dried food is formulated with high-quality proteins and contains no artificial preservatives, additives or antibiotics. The food is marketed as a complete-and-balanced meal, as well as a treat and topper.
Currently, ZIWI’s product portfolio includes air-dried dog and cat kibble, wet cat and dog food, treats, chews and bones.
