NEW YORK — On April 5, Benebone, a manufacturer of dog chews, appointed Nate Harceg to chief growth officer. Harceg has more than a decade of experience in retail and consumer goods and will aid in Benebone’s growth.
Prior to Benebone, Harceg most recently served as head of toys at Chewy. He also held a variety of roles at Walmart, including merchant roles within the dry grocery segment and customer experience marketing.
"We're humbled and flattered that Nate has decided to join us,” said Peter Toolan, chief executive officer and founder of Benebone. “For years, we've witnessed his ability to drive strategy at two of the world's most influential retailers. This is a huge turning point for us as we execute on our vision of becoming a leading brand in not only dog chews, but in all of pet. More important, he's a good human being whose core values are consistent with ours. He's a perfect fit!"
According to Benebone, Harceg will serve an important role in the company’s upcoming growth by leading strategy, aiding in the development of new products, and focusing on growing its customer base.
"For a number of years, I've had the privilege of watching Benebone's impressive growth, as they continually wow customers with high quality products and their unique approach to brand building," Harceg said. "Benebone is an organization with strong values, whose culture is committed to doing good for the people and pets they serve. Having built an incredible team that supports those values every day, I am honored to be asked to help grow such a dynamic and purpose-led company."
