STERLING, ILL. — Sterling Systems & Controls, Inc., a supplier of automated milling and batching solutions and systems, announced the availability of customized mill monitoring system. The company’s new monitoring system can be used on Prater brand mills and classifiers and will automatically oversee mill bearing, temperature acceleration and provide output to control systems.
According to Sterling, the monitoring system will detect abnormal vibrations or temperatures, decrease major damage with an automatic shutdown, and track equipment data.
The customization of the new mill monitoring system offers standalone or integrated monitoring, different bearing packages, a programmable display, relay for both warnings and shutdowns, a wall-mounted enclosure, accelerometers with temperature sensing, 100- to 300-ft cable lengths, and 120VAC or 24DVC control panel power.
