FAIRFIELD, CALIF. — Primal Pet Foods announced its new freeze-dried, raw pet food toppers on Jan. 21. According to the company, the toppers are expected to release on Feb. 14, 2022.

The new product will feature five different flavors: beef, chicken, fish, pork and turkey, and will come in two bag sizes: 3.5 oz and 18 oz. The toppers are expected to cost $9 for 3.5 oz and $37 for 18 oz.

Primal’s toppers can be added to any pet food, including canned, kibble, raw and more. Formulated with fresh ingredients, the toppers can be served as a treat or with a meal, providing pets with an extra boost of nutrition.

These new meal toppers will be rolled out at independent pet retail stores in the United States and Canada. Primal plans to add distribution through select e-commerce channels later in 2022.
