MINNEAPOLIS — On Dec. 23, Woody’s Pet Food Deli issued a voluntary recall for two lots of its Raw Cornish Hen dog food product for Salmonella risk. Recalled products contain a “with supplements” sticker on the packaging and were distributed at Woody’s retail locations in Minneapolis, Saint Paul and Woodbury, Minnesota.
The company is recalling two 5-lb tubs sold at its retail store in Saint Paul, as well as twelve 15-oz tubs sold at its Minneapolis, Saint Paul and Woodbury stores.

The recall was issued after sampling conducted by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in response to a consumer complaint revealed the product was contaminated with Salmonella. The company will continue to investigate the source of the issue, alongside the FDA, and will resume production once the issue has been identified and resolved.
The company stated, “For 13 years we have strived to provide quality pet food, and we believe taking this action is the right thing to do. We are grateful for your support. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.”
