SHANGHAI — The 25th China International Pet Show (CIPS), originally scheduled for Nov. 17 to 20 in Shanghai, has been canceled and rescheduled to Nov. 17 to 20, 2022 in Guangzhou. Show organizers cited the recent “epidemic situation” over the last 10 days as reason for the cancellation.
Show organizers also stated they will host an online meeting place for brand owners, importers, distributors and retailers in the meantime.
The business-to-business international pet industry trade show is an annual, global event drawing pet professionals and brands interested in expanding in Asian markets. The show offers conferences, networking and brand building opportunities, as well as educational content, a new product showcase, buying opportunities for retailers, and much more.
According to CantonFair.net, the show was expected to draw 1,500 exhibitors in the pet and aquaculture industries, including companies representing finished goods as well as raw materials and processing technologies.
In 2020, the online show attracted 30,000 buyers representing 74 countries, while the in-person show drew 600 exhibitors, according to CIPS.
