ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Universal Pure, a leading high pressure processing (HPP) solutions provider, has opened a new facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to accommodate continued growth.
In 2014, Universal Pure acquired a 24,000-square-foot location and other assets in Coppell, Texas, including two 350-liter HPP systems. That location reached full capacity in the second quarter of this year. The new Dallas-Fort Worth facility will allow the company to continue adding capacity and cold-chain capabilities.
The new stand-alone facility in Arlington spans 103,000 square feet and houses three HPP machines, cold and frozen storage, 19 loading docks, and additional space for value-added cold chain operations including kitting, assembly and tempering.
Universal Pure expects to hire up to 100 additional employees to support expanded production. The facility is expected to be fully operational by December.
This latest expansion brings the company’s total HPP fleet to 18 systems across the United States. In August, Universal Pure announced plans for a new West Coast facility, expected to become operational this fall.
