SOMERSET, N.J. — Gericke USA has introduced a new Turbo Compact Mixing (TCM) module to combine inline feeding with continuous mixing in a small operational footprint.
The TCM includes Gericke’s gravimetric loss-in-weight (LIW) inline feeder, which automatically measures precise amounts of dry ingredients into a continuous mixer. The result is quick, gentle and homogenous mixing, Gericke stated.
The system is self-contained and applicable for food processing and pharmaceutical operations. It is designed to manage recipes with several major, minor and micro ingredients, including flavorings, colorants and additives.
The TCM is also ideal for processes demanding frequent product changeovers. It can be disassembled in minutes, and offers easy access to the mixing and feeder interiors.
Capacity of the TCM module is up to 20,000 liters per hour. The system can be installed upstream from extruders and filling systems. Gericke offers US Food and Drug Administration-compliant models and ATEX-certified options for hygienic and hazardous environments.
