LOS ANGELES — Dr. Marty Pets announced Aug. 23 a new line of freeze-dried, functional and veterinarian-formulated dog treats: Better Life Bites™ Wellness Treats. The brand struck an exclusive distribution deal with Phillips Pet Food and Supplies to bring these new treats to independent pet retailers across the United States.

The Better Life Bites line features four formulas each targeting a specific area of health for dogs. This includes Digestive Health Wellness Treats, formulated with beef, premium probiotics and digestive enzymes; Heart Health Wellness Treats, made with turkey, Omega 3 fatty acids, L-carnitine and taurine; Hip & Joint Health Wellness Treats, which include beef, bone broth and New Zealand green-lipped mussel; and Immune Health Wellness Treats, formulated with pork, colostrum and shitake mushroom.

Each formula includes a raw meat protein, vegetables and fruits, as well as added vitamins and minerals, all blended and freeze-dried into meatball-shaped bites. The treats are grain-free and do not contain artificial preservatives.

The treats will be available in 3.5-oz packages.
