MIAMI, FLA. — This week at SuperZoo 2021, Snif-Snax launched three new limited-ingredient, “chef-inspired” dog treats incorporating premium seafood ingredients.
The company’s new Scottish Salmon Jerky and Baked Salmon Skins are both formulated with antibiotic-free Atlantic salmon sourced from Scotland. These two single-ingredient treats deliver DHA and EPA Omega 3 fatty acids, and are free from corn, wheat, soy or GMO ingredients.
Snif-Snax also launched Tuna Bites, which feature line-caught, low-mercury tuna sourced from Indonesia. The treats are manufactured in the United States and include 97% tuna protein, as well as rosemary extract as a natural preservative. According to the company, these tuna treats are a source of selenium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and B vitamins.
“We at Snif-Snax live by the idea that one should treat pets like family, and that truly dictates how we source and craft both our classic recipes and these exciting new options,” said Jonathan Brown, founder and chief executive officer of Snif-Snax. “The way that we are able to combine our passion for quality salmon with a love for animals is a major source of pride for us, and we believe that will really resonate with the US market.”
Snif-Snax reported it is the first pet food product company to achieve a four-star benchmark from Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), which certifies its sustainable salmon sourcing practices. All Snif-Snax treats are made in small batches in the United States.
