PORTLAND, ORE. —Portland Pet Food Company on May 27 announced the promotion of Peter Christiani to head of marketing. Christiani joined Portland Pet Food in 2020 and most recently served as marketing manager.
Christiani worked on developing the company’s e-commerce strategy in his previous role. In his new position as head of marketing, he will be tasked with expanding the marketing team and its initiatives, including strategy, branding and digital efforts.
“Peter was highly deserving of this promotion,” said Katie McCarron, founder of PPFC. “He joined our team in the midst of the country’s shutdown and quickly took the reins on helping us increase our branding and online sales. He has played a major hand in PPFC’s growth over the past year, and we are fortunate to have his experience on our team!”
Before joining Portland Pet Food Company, Christiani spent five years with Red Bull in various retail marketing, strategic planning and account management roles.
Christiani studied omnichannel marketing planning at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where he received his master’s degree.
In May, Portland Pet Food Company appointed two additional senior-level managers to support "rapid growth and international expansion." Nadine Johnson joined the company as director of finance, and John Cariglio will serve as national sales manager.
