LOS ANGELES — Jinx is committing $10,000 to pay back fees for dogs adopted in 2020. This Tax Return for Rescues campaign launched May 17 and will be available through Oct. 17, the extended deadline for 2020 federal tax submissions.

Jinx is offering up to $150 per family to cover the cost of dog adoptions across the United States. New pet parents must fill out a form and send a picture of themselves with their recently adopted companion to be eligible for reimbursement.

The pet food company cited Reuters, claiming adoption rates at US animal shelters rose by approximately 40% in 2020.
