DARMSTADT, GERMANY — Schenck Process Group announced April 26 the appointment of Ulrich Spiesshofer, Ph.D., as chairman of its advisory board, effective May 1.
Spiesshofer offers 30 years of experience across the industrial, energy and infrastructure sectors in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. He has served in executive management, transformation, operational and portfolio management roles throughout his career.
“We are delighted that Uli has agreed to join the Schenck Process Advisory Board and become its Chairman,” said Juergen Pinker, senior managing director at Blackstone and another member of the Schenck Process board. “He is an exemplary leader with over thirty years of experience in creating value through transformation, across multiple sectors. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable to the company and we are very much looking forward to working with him.”
Spiesshofer most recently served as chief executive officer of Schenck Process from 2013 to 2019, and has served as an executive committee member at ABB, a global technology company, since 2005.
Currently, he sits on the board at Infineon AG, a semiconductor solutions provider based in Munich, serves as a senior advisor to Blackstone, a global investment firm, and is taking on a chairman role with Sabre Industries, an infrastructure company based in Texas.

Additionally, the company recently appointed Rod Henricks as executive director of sales for its North American Chemical and Performance Minerals business.
