KANSAS CITY, MO. — Prospection Solutions LLC launched its latest foreign material detection system March 3, with a focus on enhancing detection capability within a smaller operational footprint.
The company’s new system design, the IP69K FMI, is just 10 feet long and is available in three width options. It can detect objects as small as 1.5 square millimeters at rates up to 40,000 lbs of product per hour.
The IP69K FMI system detects product from top and bottom at the same time and displays in high-definition color. Foreign material defects are highlighted in red and flagged by the system to quality control review and rejection.
The system uses a magnetic motor, a high-speed rejector and a seamless positive drive belt with toolless removal. Prospection’s IP69K FMI can be monitored remotely and provides real-time data.
