BOULDER, COLO. — Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) is preparing for its first-ever sustainable packaging event for the pet care industry, UnPacked21.
The event will be hosted virtually Feb. 23 and 24, inviting pet industry brands, manufacturers and retailers, including pet food and treat companies, to discuss and learn about sustainable packaging initiatives and options.
PSC will host networking sessions, a virtual exhibit hall, panels, workshops, presentations and a special event focused on its Flex Forward return-to-retail recycling program during the event. Sessions will take a deep-dive into introductory and advanced topics related to sustainable packaging, including a “sustainable packaging 101” discussion, and introduction to circularity, solutions for sustainable packaging, and the state of recycling in a post-pandemic environment.
The event is designed to provide diverse perspectives and solutions. It will feature speakers from WellPet, Earth Animal, Tyler Packaging, NOVA Chemicals, Trayak, Sustainable Packaging Coalition, the Center for the Circular Economy from Closed Loop Partners, and the US Plastics Pact.
“Sustainably will not be achieved in isolation, it will take the will and collaboration of partners to close the loop,” said Glenn Treliving of Thanh Phu Packaging. “From packaging companies and their suppliers, through brand owners and our consumers, we all play a part. Unpacked21 provides that space in the middle by starting the conversations that help us all find the partners we need to reach our goals.”
There are free, limited-access tickets available to view the keynote address, exhibit hall and evening celebration, as well as all-access passes for individuals, groups of five and companies. Find more information about UnPacked21 and register on the Pet Sustainability Coalition website.
