DELFT, NETHERLANDS — Veramaris announced earlier this month it has appointed Nathalie Gross as its senior global communications manager. She will be tasked with managing communications for the Veramaris aquaculture business, as well as its new fish-oil alternative ingredient for pet food.
The company represents a joint venture between DSM and Evonik. It introduced its first pet food ingredient in August and was granted approval as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in October.
“Our world faces a multitude of environmental challenges which require viable solutions,” Gross commented. “I am energized to be joining a purpose driven team that is bringing ground-breaking innovation to the aquaculture industry and marine sustainability overall.”
Gross brings 12 years of experience in communications, government relations, media relations, public affairs, stakeholder management, and integrated communications strategy for sustainability, energy and social impact. She most recently led global business sustainability communications for Cargill’s cocoa and chocolate business.
“We are delighted to have Nathalie on board,” said Øyvind Ihle, global marketing and communications director at Veramaris. “It is a really exciting time for Veramaris and her depth of knowledge and expertise will bring additional strength to the team.”
