SAN DIEGO — Petco, the Health + Wellness Co. announced Oct. 20 its partnership with Jinx, a direct-to-consumer dog food company, to add Jinx’s products to its online store.
Jinx launched in January 2020 as a pet nutrition option “for modern doghood,” offering fresh protein and plant-based formulas to optimize canine nutrition. All Jinx products are developed and tested by pet nutrition experts, including animal scientists, formulators and nutritionists, to maximize palatability and digestibility.
"As more consumers lean into online shopping, we're pleased to include Jinx in our carefully selected assortment of wholesome food and treats to help our guests find the right food for their pets' needs," said Darren MacDonald, chief digital and innovation officer of Petco. "We have massively enhanced our e-commerce capabilities and have experienced a growth of more than 100% in this category. Jinx is a natural fit within not only our digital transformation but also our dedication to quality nutrition standards for the health and wellbeing of pets."
Petco has recently expanded its omnichannel capabilities to offer pet owners more convenient shopping options, including buy online, pick up in-store, curbside pickup and delivery.
"Petco is a leader in pet specialty, and it's an honor to be on their digital shelves," said Terri Rockovich, co-founder and chief executive officer of Jinx. "Our food is filled with meat- and plant-based proteins, superfoods, active probiotics and clean ingredients packed with vitamins and no added fillers. Jinx and Petco share brand values that are anchored in the love for our pets, and Petco has shown incredible support to help us deliver on our promise of providing customers with a convenient, seamless shopping experience."
Jinx dog food and treat products are now available on Petco.com. The direct-to-consumer company offers three complete-and-balanced dog diets — Salmon, Brown Rice and Sweet Potato, Chicken, Sweet Potato and Egg, and Chicken, Brown Rice and Avocado — and three dog treat options: Chicken and Mango, Chicken and Sweet Potato, and Pumpkin and Apple.
