KANSAS CITY, MO. — Sosland Publishing Co. announced on Oct. 14 Dave Crost has been named publisher of Pet Food Processing. Crost succeeds Steve Berne who departed from the company to pursue other interests.
Crost who also serves as publisher of MEAT+POULTRY magazine, has been with Sosland Publishing since 2005 and was instrumental in the development of the pet food publication. He is uniquely suited to further expand its print issues and digital media channels.
Pet Food Processing is a B2B media provider focused on the production, formulation and food safety of pet food and treats in North America. The quarterly print publication provides news and information about processors and brands in the industry, new products and trends, innovations in equipment and ingredients, regulatory compliance, packaging, and other related topics.

Leading the editorial team is Jennifer Semple who joined Sosland in 2017 as editor in advance of the 2018 launch of Pet Food Processing. The publication immediately was well received and has grown consistently the past three years. Jordan Tyler, associate digital editor, joined the Sosland pet food team in 2018 to grow its digital presence and has succeeded in expanding the publication’s reach and social media audience.
