SOMERSET, NJ. — Gericke USA announced Aug. 24 it has rolled out a line of sack tipping and feeding stations optimized for sanitary processing and powder handling.
The series of solutions are designed for food, chemical, pharmaceutical and other processors to dispense bagged powders safely and efficiently, preventing dust buildup in plant environments. They are ATEX-certified for hazardous environments, Gerick reported.
Gericke’s sack tipping and feeding solutions are self-contained and utilize an integrated exhaust fan paired with a cartridge filter system, which helps ensure 100% of powder materials are transferred, including fine dust.
Other features include a bag rest platform, protective barrier grid, inspection port, and a hinged, gas-assisted safety cover that secures when opened. Sack tipping and feeding systems are available in stainless steel or carbon steel designs, as well as a variety of other finishes. The modular design is intended to optimize disassembly, interior access and cleaning.
Gericke also offers an integrated reverse jet filter, polished internal components, empty sack compactor, companion sifter and other equipment to complement its sack tipping and feeding stations.
These solutions can be integrated with sifters, mixers, pneumatic conveying systems, lump breakers and other equipment from Gericke or other suppliers, the company said. Gericke offers testing of these sack tipping and feeding systems at its testing center in New Jersey.
