MCLEAN, VA. — The Food Processing Suppliers Association’s (FPSA) Food Safety Network is hosting a webinar on food safety for pet food manufacturers in the era of COVID-19 on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 2 to 3 p.m. ET.
The webinar will feature pet food safety experts discussing what has changed and which of those changes will become long-term.
Panelists include Mitch Felderhoff, owner and president of sales and marketing at Muenster Milling Company; Billie Johnson, Ph.D., food safety and regulatory compliance manager for BJH North America; and Robert Long, an expert on pet food safety bringing 25 years of sanitation and hygiene program development in the food manufacturing industry to the table.
Felderhoff recently undertook a challenge in which he exclusively ate Muenster Milling’s dog food products for 30 days, in part as a testament to the quality and safety of the company’s pet diets.
Darin Zehr, chair of the Food Safety Network and general manager of Commercial Food Sanitation, and Nehemiah White, vice-chair of the Food Safety Network and market manager for Deville Technologies, will moderate the webinar.
