PAWTUCKET, RI. — Pet Food Experts, Inc. is expanding its distribution area to Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky in order to serve the entire Midwest United States and hundreds more independent pet retailers starting July 7. These three states will be served through its distribution centers in Des Plaines, Ill. and Denver, Pa.

With this expansion, Pet Food Experts will serve more than 4,500 pet specialty retailers across 34 states. A selection of products distributed by Pet Food Experts will be offered to independent pet retailers in Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.

“We have had an interest in bridging the gap in our Midwest footprint for quite some time and due to the current state of distribution consolidation, we thought now was the perfect moment,” said Michael Baker, president of Pet Food Experts. “We are thrilled to expand our services in this area and look forward to building long-lasting relationships with several hundred additional independent retailers.”

Pet Food Experts operates five distribution centers in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Washington and Colorado.
