PHOENIX — Aimee Gilbreath has been named president of PetSmart Charities, effective July 6. She will report to J.K. Symancyk, president and chief executive officer of PetSmart and chairman of the PetSmart Charities board.
"The Board and I look forward to Aimee's leadership of PetSmart Charities," Symancyk said. "She demonstrates an incredible skill set and a true passion for animal welfare. With her expertise and leadership, PetSmart Charities will have an even more powerful impact on the people, pets and communities it serves."
Gilbreath brings a wealth of non-profit and private-sector experience to her new role, most recently serving as executive director of Found Animals Foundation, Inc. Before that, she worked with Fortune 500 clients as a principal at Boston Consulting Group. Earlier in her career, Gilbreath worked for Motorola in process engineering and research, where she helped develop and launch the company’s start-up biotechnology research and development division.
