DONGEN, THE NETHERLANDS — Protix, an insect ingredient supplier to the pet food and treat industries, welcomes Josien Hermans, the company’s new chief commercial officer, as the company continues to scale up.

In her new role, Hermans will be responsible for developing the company’s commercial and sales strategies, managing the sales team, marketing and product development activities and driving overall international growth for Protix.

Hermans brings broad experience from the food and feed ingredients and consumer goods industries to the position. She has previously held commercial leadership roles with FrieslandCampina, Cargill and Unilever.

Hermans received a master’s degree in business administration from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
