FORT COLLINS, COLO. — PetDine, LLC, a co-manufacturer of pet treats, on April 20 launched BarkDine to help companies develop and produce natural chew products for pets.
"Millions of pet owners consider natural animal chews to be an essential part of their pets' daily life as they are great for chewers and anxious dogs,” said Preston Munsch, chief executive officer at PetDine. “We produce the highest-quality rawhide-free products, repurposing meat products directly from meat-packing plants here in the US And we do it using chemical-free processes."
The company also invested in a new multi-million-dollar, 20,000-square-foot manufacturing site in Loveland, which it opened in February.
"This new facility takes BarkDine's capabilities to a new level,” Munsch said. “Not only does it dramatically increase our output but it allows us to support our private-label clients in the development of their own lines of branded all-natural animal chews."
PetDine made the move into natural chew products after seeing growing demand in the pet treat category. Ingredients for BarkDine chews will be entirely sourced in the United States, including beef, bison and sheep. The chews will be rawhide-free.
BarkDine is currently looking to partner with businesses wishing to add natural pet chews to their portfolios.
PetDine is a private label contract manufacturer offering unique formulation. It produces solution-based treats and supplements in soft chew, liquid, powder and chew formats.
The company is certified by the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), as well as a member of the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC).
