FORT COLLINS, COLO. — Pet Food Alliance is leveraging its collaboration with members of pet food academia, production and supply to rally the industry around creating virtual tours of pet food and rendering facilities. The main purpose of this venture would be to serve as an educational and recruiting tool for collegiate students in pet food production and rendering courses.
The idea sparked from Dr. Temple Grandin’s popular virtual tours of meat facilities, which feature pork, lamb, beef and poultry processing.
Pet Food Alliance is urging pet food and rendering industry experts to provide tools like this. Existing virtual tours as well as newly created tools are welcome.
If your pet food manufacturing or rendering company is willing to share virtual tour footage or other digital resources to be used as educational tools, please email Cas_pfa@mail.colostate.edu for more information.
