LIVONIA, MICH. — Pet Supplies Plus, one of the largest pet retail franchises in the United States, announced March 25 it intends to keep stores open as communities across the country lock down to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The retailer is offering two-hour curbside pickup for those locations, as well as delivery services at several of its locations in 17 states. This includes pet food and other pet supplies that can be ordered online through local Pet Supplies Plus stores’ websites.
"Providing a safe way for pet parents to obtain quality food and necessary supplies for their pets is our highest priority," said Chris Rowland, chief executive officer of Pet Supplies Plus. "Pet parents should not feel like they have to compromise their pets' nutrition or other needs during this pandemic. Curbside pickup, as well as delivery at as many stores as possible, are designed to provide safe options for our neighbors."
Select stores in Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Tennessee and Wisconsin will offer home delivery for pet owners.
Pet Supplies Plus operates 490 stores across 34 states, offering premium pet food and treat products, toys, grooming products and pet care services.
