ARLINGTON, VA — The National Grain and Feed Association’s (NGFA) elected JoAnn Brouillette, president of Demeter LP in Fowler, as NGFA chairman during its annual convention in Austin, Texas.

“I’m deeply humbled to serve this industry that is very near and dear to my heart and my family’s heart,” Brouillette said.

Her father, Don Brouillette, served as NGFA president — formerly the chairman title — from 1984 to '86.

Other officers elected to serve include:

  • Chairman: JoAnn Brouillette, president, Demeter LP, Fowler
  • First Vice Chairman: Greg Beck, senior vice president, Grain Division, CGB Enterprises
  • Second Vice Chairman: Chris Boerm, president, Global Transportation, Archer Daniels Midland Company

In addition, NGFA members elected the following persons to serve three-year terms on the organization’s board of directors:

NGFA consists of more than 1,000 grain, feed, processing, exporting and other grain-related companies that operate more than 7,000 facilities and handle more than 70% of all US grains and oilseeds. Its membership includes grain elevators; feed and feed ingredient manufacturers; biofuels companies; grain and oilseed processors and millers; exporters; livestock and poultry integrators; and associated firms that provide goods and services to the nation’s grain, feed and processing industry. NGFA also consists of 33 affiliated state and regional grain and feed associations, and NGFA is co-located and has an alliance with North American Export Grain Association, and a strategic alliance with Pet Food Institute.
