NACOGDOCHES, Texas — TFP Nutrition, a family-owned pet food and feed manufacturing company, on Jan. 23 named Ben Wright as president of the company and appointed him to its board of directors, effective Jan. 21.
Ben was promoted from the position of vice president of private label sales. As fourth-generation president of TFP, he will succeed his father, Bud Wright, who will stay on as chairman and CEO.
“It is with great pride that I pass the baton to Ben,” said Bud. “He has done an outstanding job landing the largest accounts in the company’s history and for the last several years has become involved in all facets of the business. He has great instincts and a tremendous work ethic. TFP will be well served by his leadership.”
Ben added, “I am extremely excited and thankful to serve in this role. Having the opportunity to lead a company that my family built is such an honor. As the fourth generation to serve TFP, I am very proud of what has been accomplished in the past 90 years, and I look forward to all that is to come in the future.”
Ben joined TFP as a sales associate in 2010 after graduating from Baylor University in 2009. He and his brother, Steele, worked at the local Lone Star Farm & Home Center in high school, where they loaded and unloaded feed manufactured by their family’s business.
