ZURICH, Germany — Amcor, a global packaging company, received four awards at the 2019 Packaging Innovation Awards by Dow for its sustainable and consumer-friendly packaging solutions.
The awards included the Silver Award for the packaging it created in collaboration with Full Moon Pet Food, as well as Gold Awards for Coors 12-pack packaging and Coffeemate packaging for Nestle. It was also recognized as a Diamond Finalist for its Paperly meat and cheese packaging.
Amcor partnered with Full Moon Pet to design packaging with both matte and gloss print, as well as a zipper for resealing, for its premium organic pet treats in order to enhance appearance on the shelf.
“Winning across our flexible and rigid packaging, for beverage, protein and pet food products, is a testament to the expertise of Amcor's global team," said Michael Zacka, Amcor's chief commercial officer. "We are proud to deploy that expertise to benefit our customers, consumers, and the environment.”
Diego Donoso, business president for Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics, added, “This year Dow received a record-breaking number of submissions for innovative, forward-thinking packaging designs from around the world.”
The annual Packaging Innovation Awards by Dow, which originated with DuPont, recognizes brand owners, retailers, package designers, converters and technology providers for excellence in several categories, such as structural and graphic design, research and development, consumer insights and other areas.
