OAK CREEK, Wis. — Stella & Chewy’s, a pet food manufacturer with a raw nutrition philosophy, released three new products for dogs in July, including functional freeze-dried diets, a kibble food line and “dinner dust,” a blend of animal proteins, fruits and vegetables to be used as a meal topper to enhance palatability and nutrition.
Stella’s Solutions is a line of four freeze-dried, complete and balanced dog diets that can also be used as a meal enhancer. All four formulas are free from grains, peas, lentils and potatoes, and are supplemented with taurine.
The grass-fed beef formula supports healthy digestion and gut health and includes coconut flour, pumpkin, papaya, pineapple, egg yolks, probiotics and dandelion greens, according to Stella & Chewy’s.
A cage-free chicken formula is formulated with chicken cartilage, New Zealand green mussel, Omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E, turmeric, lavender and L-carnitine. The diet is targeted to promote mobility and increase energy.
Stella’s Solutions grass-fed lamb formula is geared for all-around health and wellness with functional ingredients beta-carotene, raspberries and cranberries, Omega 3 fatty acids, pineapple and vitamin E.
Finally, the freeze-dried grass-fed lamb and wild-caught salmon are combined in the line’s Skin & Coat Boost formula, which includes pineapple, vitamin E, biotin and coconut flour.
Stella’s Solutions are made with 100% organic fruits and vegetables and are free from wheat, corn, soy, and gluten.
The company also released Stella’s Essentials Grain-Free and Wholesome Grains kibble diets for dogs. Grain-free formulas come in four varieties — grass-fed beef, cage-free chicken, grass-fed lamb and cage-free duck — each including lentils.
Wholesome Grains are available in two formulas: grass-fed beef with ancient grains and cage-free chicken with ancient grains.
Each new Stella’s Essentials kibble has a minimum of 0.2% taurine, high levels of glucosamine and chondroitin to support mobility, and Omega fatty acids for skin and coat health. The diets are free from corn, wheat and soy protein and do not contain animal by-product meals.
Marie’s Magical Dinner Dust is Stella & Chewy’s latest meal topper for dogs, featuring a blend of freeze-dried animal meat, organs and bone with 100% organic fruits and vegetables. The company states that 95% of the animal ingredients are responsibly sourced.
The manufacturer’s dinner dust is free from potatoes, peas, lentils, wheat, corn, soy, grain and gluten. It is available in grass-fed beef and cage free-chicken formulas.
All Stella and Chewy’s new products are free from artificial colors, flavors and preservatives and produced in its company-owned, US facility.
