VANCOUVER, British Columbia — EastWest Bioscience announced July 23 it has received its first shipment of full-spectrum cannabidiol (CBD) oil from its facility in Lebanon, Kentucky, which will be used to formulate its CBD-infused pet treats for the US market.
The supply of CBD is made possible through a joint venture with Azema Sciences to produce full-spectrum CBD oil to be incorporated in EastWest’s +CBD Chill Dog and +CBD Quick Cat pet products.
The company reported it will begin production in August and plan to ship the products by early September. They will be sold under the company’s Natural Pet Science brand through its distribution arm, EastWest Science USA, also based in Kentucky.
“The company continues to move forward at a rapid pace. We are anticipating strong demand for our CBD Pet Products and our unique cricket-based CBD Pet Treats. We’re also excited to have been able to execute on our seed to sale production model for our pet treats”, says Rodney Gelineau, CEO of EastWest Bioscience.
The company anticipates releasing 12 total products as a part of this +CBD line, including six pet treats formulated with CBD and six formulated without.
